__________

Isabel died on 20 Jul 1979 in Mill Valley, California. She was married to Richard Weil, a screenwriter. He was born on 29 Oct 1893 in New York City, and died on 16 Aug 1971 in Los Angeles, California, aged 77. In June 1950 he was one of many screenwriters, actors, directors, musicians, and other members of the U.S. entertainment industry placed on the Hollywood blacklist. Those on the list were barred from working in the entertainment industry, because of their perceived political beliefs, associations, or sympathies, especially toward the American Communist Party. Thousands of innocent Americans’ lives were destroyed, some committed suicide, and others fled abroad.
